About
The Range is an Epic Gravel Cycling Experience through the stunning environment of SW Alberta. Gravel cycling at its peak.
The Classic Range route is 122 km with 1606 m of climbing featuring 2 creek crossings, private ranch roads, 4 eco-systems, steep ascents of the Porcupine Hills, and the unbelievable scenery of a pristine environment
The Frontier route is 211 km with 2947 m of climbing. This route adds a 90 km loop on to the FULL Range route and is an epic course that will push you to the limit, but reward you with unforgettable scenery.
The Rustler route is 86 km with 649 m of climbing. Similar to The Range including 2 creek crossings and private ranch roads.
The Rodeo route is 59 km. This is a great loop if you are new to gravel and interested in coming out for the day.
E-bikes are only permitted on The Rodeo route.
Dates: Saturday July 11, 2026
Start / Finish: Claresholm Centennial Park and Campground
- Mass start by category
- Frontier: 7 AM (cut off time of the Frontier distance is 7 PM)
- Range: 8 AM
- Rustler and Rodeo: 9 AM
Timing: Overall timing & ranking for all riders. We use Zone 4 timing chips for the race & for the 'Sector' ride challenges. You can enjoy the ride & environment, but still 'go hard' for the challenges, or go hard the whole race!
The Range is an Awesome Experience to Explore, Race, Ride and Inspire.
2026 The Range Cancellation Policy
There are no refunds issued by TransRockies Inc under ANY circumstances.
Transfers of entry to another participant may be permitted at the discretion of TransRockies Inc for an admin fee of $25. All transfers must be completed no later than midnight on July 5, 2026.
Deferrals are permitted under the following guidelines:
- Deferral requests made on or before May 10, 2026 = 75% of your race fee will be deferred.
- Deferral request made on or after May 11, 2026 up to & including June 10, 2026 = 50% of your race fee will be deferred.
- NO deferrals/roll overs/credits will be issued for registrations cancelled after June 10, 2026.
- A full deferral is permitted for reasons due to pregnancy &/or active military deployment – medical notes will be required.
- A race entry can only be deferred one time and only to the following year’s event.
Additional registration protection can be purchased through Protecht, which is a refund protection insurance for attendees. For a small premium, if you are unable to attend due to any of Protecht’s covered reasons, you have the option to file a refund request through them. We strongly encourage you to read & understand the full terms of Protecht’s insurance policy prior to registration.
TransRockies Inc reserves the right to cancel any TransRockies Race Series event, cancel race stages or change the route on short notice due to fire bans/fire closures, air quality, weather conditions, wildlife or safety concerns, pandemic, unforeseen construction, Acts of God or other such reasons with no reimbursement to the participant.
In the case of event cancellation by Transrockies Inc, no refunds will be available. All entries will be transferred to the next available date that the event is able to operate.
